Gravel cycling requires some different skills than road cycling. One of the skills I want to learn is map reading so that I can create my own off-road adventures. Being Canadian I’m used to a lot more open spaces and easier to read maps. I’m also new to the area of Bristol so I thought it would be a good idea to get a detailed ordinance survey map and learn how to read it so that I can plan my own routes. I’m also learning how to get my layering right for off road riding at a time of year when the temperatures fluctuate a lot on a single ride.
